This state-of-the-art solution has been widely used for years in many laboratories in Europe, especially in areas where it is difficult to run installations from the wall or floor and the laboratories have an industrial character.
Conducting the media from the ceiling is then a very simple and definitely less expensive way of bringing the required media to the laboratory workstation. With open or suspended ceilings, the media are fed into the ceiling space and then distributed around the laboratory to the locations where the media bridges are installed.
This applies in particular to the electrical and various gas installations. The installation bridges located above the tables, especially the island tables, allow a large number of utilities to be used while leaving the table tops free.
